Decent plants, slow shipping

I ordered a few Encore Azaleas and a couple of Hydrangeas. The plants themselves were in good shape when they finally got here, but shipping took longer than I expected, almost a week and a half. Packaging was good, kept them safe. Customer service was responsive when I asked about the delay, which was nice. A bit pricey overall, but the quality is there for the plants.

Decent price for blueberry bush

I was looking for a blueberry bush and compared prices quite a bit. Plants by Mail had a decent offer for the size I wanted. I signed up for their newsletter and got a bit off my first order, which helped. The shipping cost wasn't too bad either. The bush arrived in good shape, not perfect, but definitely healthy enough to plant. Overall, I felt like I got a good deal for my money, especially with that first-time discount.

Healthy plants, well-packaged for travel

I placed an order for several varieties, including a Meyer Lemon Tree and some Lavender plants. The ordering process on the website was straightforward, easy to find what I needed. Shipping took about 5 days, which was reasonable for live plants. Each plant was carefully secured in its box, preventing any major damage during transit; soil was still moist upon arrival. The Meyer Lemon Tree was a good size and the Lavender looked robust. I had a small question about care instructions for one of the perennials, and support was helpful and quick to respond via email. I've planted everything, and they seem to be establishing well in my garden. Definitely a good option for getting specific plant types you can't find locally.

Consistent quality, returning customer

This was my third time ordering from Plants by Mail, and they're always reliable. I first bought some Boxwoods a couple years ago, then last spring I got some Fig Trees. This time, I needed more Ornamental Grasses. Every order has been consistent - the plants arrive looking good and are well-rooted. The packaging is still top-notch; nothing ever seems out of place or broken. It's why I keep coming back, knowing what I'm going to get. They might not be the cheapest, but the quality and peace of mind are worth it for me.

Good Hydrangeas, packed well

I ordered a few Hydrangeas a couple weeks ago for my front yard. They arrived pretty fast, actually two days earlier than the tracking said. The packaging was really solid, the plants didn't get knocked around at all. They looked healthy and happy when I got them out of the box. Got them planted that same day, and they're doing great so far. I'm pretty happy with how it all went, planning on getting some more stuff for the back soon.

How do returns work if a plant shows up dead or super damaged? Is it a huge hassle?

A Anna Carter 2 months ago
Nah, it was pretty straightforward for me. My hydrangea looked rough, sent them a picture, and they sent a replacement really quick.

They have a guarantee. If it's DOA, just reach out to their customer service. They're usually good about it, I had a rose arrive squashed and they took care of it no problem.

Is plants by mail legit? Never ordered live plants online before and a bit nervous.

D Daisy 2 months ago
Totally legit. I've ordered from them multiple times and the plants always arrive healthy and well-packed. It's a real nursery, not some scam.

Yep, they're for real. I've been happy with everything I've gotten from them. Their plants are usually way better than what I find at local big box stores.

What's the deal with returns if a plant shows up looking rough or just dies after a few days? Do they actually stand by their stuff?

J James K. 2 months ago
They have a guarantee. I had one shrub that looked a bit wilty after a week and they sent a replacement super fast, no arguments. Just gotta take a pic.

I think you get like 30 days or something if it dies. Just contact them. They're pretty good about it, from what I've heard.

Can you use more than one coupon code at checkout? Like if I have a newsletter signup one and a general promo?

D Derek 3 months ago
Nah, I tried that once. It's usually just one code per order. They don't stack them.

Pretty sure they're like most online stores, just one coupon. So pick the best discount you have!

Does Plants by Mail ever have sales on their Encore Azaleas? Really want to grab a few but trying to save a few bucks.

O Omar P. 2 months ago
Oh yeah, they totally do! I got some during a spring sale last year, like 10-15% off. Keep an eye out around seasonal peaks.

F Faith 2 months ago
I've seen them run specific promotions on those, especially spring or fall. Worth signing up for their email list, that's where I usually see the announcements first.
